Resume

Projection Mapping

The following is a large scale projection mapping installation I created for my animation capstone project titled, "Unraveling."

The installation includes two three by six foot reinforced plywood panels wrapped in white fabric with a polished alabaster mask sculpture set into the top left panel.

The visual projections are divided into three distinct chapters.

The whole installation has a total runtime of an hour and twenty two minutes and includes music from seven unique musical acts.

I used the project as a way to explore issues of mental health, isolation and social media and used Autodesk Maya, Maxon Cinema 4D and Zbrush, Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator, Ultimaker Cura, Dragonframe and HeavyM for Projection Mapping.

A short behind the scenes look at the initial part of sculpting the alabaster face for the installation.

Videography

Curious and Creative adventures in Travel and Experimental Videography

This video was made for a class that introduced workflows in Adobe Audition and Premiere Pro. Instead of doing a typical edit of provided b-roll I decided to make a music video including animation with Procreate.

This is an assignment for an After Effects course where we were challenged to create an intro to an imagined TV show. I dreamed up an indigenous true crime show set on the Oregon Coast.

This is an edit of some of many timelapse videos I have created over the past ten years from various parts of the world.

Above is an assignment for the previously mentioned Adobe After Effects course where we had the challenge of creating a social media advertisement for a fictional hotel.

The above video is an example of some of my video editing. This is a behind the scenes edit showing the creation of an ARG horror animation with three other animation students. Specifically for this project I was in charge of not only the BTS but a large paper stop motion section.

Animation

Traditional and Computer Animation

Above is a stop motion animation I created for a larger ARG horror game. My section was done using Dragon Frame and art used done primarily on paper with watercolor and felt.

I created this audio visualiser for a chopped version of Erykah Badu's 'Phone Down,' with the deep dive I took into learning Cinema 4D and Redshift.

The above animation was created as a final for Computer Animation 2. The class served as an introduction to character modeling, rigging, and animating. I leaned into pushing the characters to absurd glitched movements to highlight the oftentimes absurd aspect of computer animation and CGI. This was made with Autodesk Maya, Radeon Render, Adobe Audition and Premiere Pro.

This is an abstract music visualiser I created for my longtime creative partner Cole Lodge. This video was created with Procreate and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Tron Ping Pong was created for an introduction class for Computer Animation and Autodesk Maya. Before creating this project I had never touched any 3d software.

The above pixel art video was created for a friends restaurant and deli in Chico, California for their social media marketing.

This is a music visualiser I created for one of my favorite Thai bands - January. It served as an exploration of the mash procedural animation plugin in Autodesk Maya and the various capabilities of the Arnold render engine and also served as practice to assemble and edit an entire music video within Adobe After Effects.

I created this music visualiser for an unreleased song by the incredible band, Sparkwood and 21st. The video was created as a way to further delve into procedural animation within Maya's Mash system and explore the Arnold render engine as well as practicing editing rendered footage in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Motion Capture

'The Surfer' is a short animation where I served as team lead for a Motion Capture Class taught by a former Bungie Mocap employee. The course served as an introduction to a 3d animation pipeline using Perception Neuron 3, Mixamo, Autodesk Maya, Zbrush, and Substance Painter. I was also lead actor, co-animator, writer, as well as video and sound editor. It is very rough around the edges but I think it is worth it to show in its absurdity.

Audio Production

Past 15 Years is an audio project for an intro to multimedia course to explore various multimedia non linear software. I hadn't used adobe audition for nearly fifteen years before making this audio sculpture.

This audio piece was created for an introduction to Adobe Premiere and Audition course. This track serves an abstract exploration of contemporary warfare.

Writing For Media

The following is a design document for a proposed third person shooter game inspired by Southeast Asia for a Writing for Interactive Design Course named, 'A Thousand Tiny Diamonds.'
(The document is hosted on my google drive folder.)

Below is a design document I wrote for an imagined Wu Tang Forever 30th anniversary fighting game that would have tie in components to a vinyl repressing of the classic album.
